ISO Open Data Project

July 23, 2020

AvISO is very excited to be collaborating with Assent on their new ISO Open Data Project.

This project aims to use anonymised data of non-conformance and opportunities for improvement raised during 3rd party / external audits to identify patterns. These patterns can then determine high-risk clauses of the Standards. The data allows us to see patterns in nonconformities raised across:

  • A wide variety of industry types,
  • At individual stages of certification,
  • By individual Standard, such as ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 27001.

By making this data available to the public, the intention is that it will improve awareness across the sector and improve the quality and increase the efficiency of consultancy services.

Here at AvISO, we already log all non-conformities and Opportunities for Improvements raised during our client's 3rd party audit as part of our ISO 9001 certified Quality Management System. This allows us to build a comprehensive picture of the certification process, not just as a whole but by the certification body and even individual auditor. The data also ensures that we design out any issues from our system and update our approach to stop these reoccurring. This has led to AvISO becoming a class-leading ISO Consultancy and our clients achieving scientifically less than average issues during the certification process.

We believe the sharing of this data will help everyone improve the quality of the industry and the certification process as a whole.  This anonymous non-conformance data from internal audits will be available via a public dashboard, with the ability to filter and analyse non-conformances across many standards.

We look forward to supporting Assent with this project and continuing our working relationship with them.
