“We appointed Aviso Consultancy to set up our ISO Management System and guide us through our journey towards certification of ISO 20121. Ana Inacio was very knowledgeable and full of positive energy, always bringing a happy smile. She took time to understand our business, and where and how it fits into the events industry, and brought clarity to us throughout the process. We would recommend Aviso Consultancy without hesitation for those working towards ISO.”
Matthew Warren, Director Travel Places
Travel Places are leading travel specialists to the sports, media and entertainment sector and approached AvISO Consultancy to support them in achieving certification to ISO 20121:2012.
ISO 20121 is based on the earlier British Standard called ‘BS 8901 Specification for a Sustainability Management System for Events’, first developed in 2007. Due to the high-level interest in BS 8901, it was decided to create an international version of the standard to coincide with the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Travel Places aims to be a leading ambassador for sustainability in the group travel sector. Achieving certification to 20121 has strengthened its commitment to both follow and promote good sustainability practices.
Ana Inacio was assigned to the Travel Places project. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience in ISO 20121, the events sector and sustainability.
Travel Places has also written a case study on their ISO journey in achieving certification. Find out more here - https://travelplaces.co.uk/travel-places-achieves-international-standard-for-sustainability/

Management Systems must reflect the business processes and should be designed for the individual and specific activities.
